Shavuot Extravaganza - Saturday 8th June 2019
Join us for an event not to be missed on the day leading into Shavuot. There will be activities to suit a wide variety of ages and tastes. Do you want food for thought or food for bellies or a bit of both? Feel free to drop into whatever takes your fancy and bring along a friend or two!

Provisional Timetable:
14.00-15.00: (Children) Lots of fun things to do including -
•interactive storytelling
•building our own Mt Sinai and singing songs!
•Three adults with childcare experience will be running the activities, so feel free to go to the adults' workshop!
•(Adults) Jewish Identity, Transmitting Culture and Collective Growth Pt 1
15.00-16.00: Shavuot afternoon tea. (Bring a cake or some sandwiches)
16.00-17.00: (Children) Activities
•Seed bomb making, decorating tablets, colouring and games!
•(Adults) Jewish Identity, Transmitting Culture and Collective Growth Pt 2
17.00-18.30: Choice of inspiring and engaging text studies
18.30-19.30: Buffet dinner cooked by community members
19.30-21.30: Singing workshop with Rachel Weston: Yiddish women's' song (all welcome)
22.00-late: Optional further text studies at local pub with first drink on the house!

Access info:
•There is some free parking on residential streets near the venue but the car park is not for general use.
•The 218 (Peak Line) stops right next to the venue or you can walk up from Sharrow Vale Road.
•The venue is wheelchair accessible with accessible toilets.
•If the day is at all chilly I suggest wearing a jumper as the building is old (but beautiful!)
•Refreshments provided throughout.
•You can come and go as desired.
