Ellen Goldberg gave a very interesting talk about the work of her organisation, the New Israel Fund (NIF), here in Sheffield on Sunday 12th December 2010. The talk was followed by a discussion about the problems in Israel today and how people could join the debate - and possibly influence others about the positive action that is being taken by orgainsiations like NIF. We also discussed how more needs to be done to create a more balanced and fair society in Israel and whether (and how) it might be possible (for us) to influence Israeli government policy.
